Inspired by Caroline Hu’s signature gowns that debuted on the runways of Paris back in Spring/Summer 2020, the Chinese fashion designer’s take on the adidas Samba is full of drama and theatrics. Featuring a total of five colourways, two pairs swap the usual all-leather construction with a delicate frilly fabric, while the rest of the pack boasts a lacy upper that has been created by Hu’s artist friend, Rao Chen. In the silhouette’s almost-80 year history, we’ve never seen one quite like this. And we most likely won’t see another in the next 80 years either.
